Dr. D’Mello is a Med School graduate from the University of Ottawa where she received the Governor General’s Gold Medal in Sciences; awarded to the most outstanding doctoral degree recipient. After finishing her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto, she returned to Ottawa where she did her Cardiology training at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. At the Ottawa Heart Institute, she also completed her Fellowship in Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac PET, and Cardiac CT training. After completing her training she then joined the team of cardiologists at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute as a Nuclear Cardiologist. She later moved to Toronto and became part of the Corcare team of physicians.
Dr. D’Mello has a keen interest in medical education and cardiac imaging and has been the guest speaker at several international conferences such as the American Society of Nuclear Medicine and the Society of Nuclear Medicine’s annual conferences.
