Dr. Anjala Chelvanathan received her Medical Degree from McMaster University and completed her General Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Toronto. After finishing her postgraduate clinical residency training in Adult Cardiology at the University of Manitoba, she returned to Toronto where she completed her clinical fellowship in Adult Echocardiography at Mount Sinai Hospital, University of Toronto. She received the prestigious Merck and Sylvia Markel Award from The Heart and Stroke Foundation for her excellence in research, clinical and scholarly activity in Cardiology. She has recently joined the staff at Rouge Valley Health System.
Dr. Chelvanathan has a keen clinical sense and is dedicated to delivering highly competent as well as compassionate care to all her patients. Her special interests include medical education, multimodality imaging, primary and secondary preventative cardiology. She is fluent in both English and Tamil.
